Keith and Laura – Married at Lighthouse Point!!!

Keith and Laura became family amongst the most dearest people on a lovely fall day with warm weather and yes – flip flops and a carousel! These gestures of ease and fun say a lot about them. They breathe in and breathe out loving and celebrating. It just comes naturally to them. Not so much being at the center of it all, but more so letting their friends and family being the center of their lives! Truly awesome! But much more than that, these two lovelies who let me into their awesome story of being married are part of my family. Cute flower girl – my niece!  Thank you for having Amanda and I share in the FUN! We had a blast.

Alex and Tyler – married at Jonathan Edwards Vineyard, CT

A sweet preview from another dear couple this year. Seriously adorable in every way. Alex and Tyler celebrated with so many sweet family members at one of the most romantic and yet relaxed venues, Jonathan Edwards Vineyard. I love that they wore cowboy boots with their wedding attire. Some great folks helped make the date extraordinary, Russel Morin – awesome food -YUM! Hana Floral Design delivered stunning flowers. More to come in the upcoming weeks when the full release goes live.

True Loves – Casey and Sarah! Are these two fun or what? We headed for our beloved East Beach in Watch Hill, RI for some summer splashes in the waves. Sarah looked lovely with a vintage dress from Anthropologie. These two are very kindred. They move well together whether on the beach for a jog, dancing with little waves at their feet or heading full glory to the breaking point of a wave. Good rhythm and love.

CT Style Me Pretty Today! – Lindsay and Paul

We are thankful to Lindsay and Paul for a wonderful day with friends and family. Style Me Pretty loved this wedding for the great design and the candidness of the couple. See the full gallery here.

As a documentary photographer, I take delight in couples such as these who feel comfortable just being true and genuine. No need to do a lot of posed photos, because they want to be with friends and family and they trust in the process. Yes, getting married provides ample opportunity for images, no need for elaborate photo shoots or choreographed poses. They simply loved each other well all day long and I just made the real pictures and guess what? – they and their love shined through and through!

Candlelight Farms Wedding Photography – Christine & Ryan

Ryan and Christine are the sweetest couple.  My cheeks always hurt from laughing and giggling as they have such infectious personalities. Married at Candlelight Farms in Milford CT, Christine and Ryan celebrated their love with a farm-inspired elegance.  Candlelight Inn is exceptional in that it sits high on a hill and the views are magnificent. The Inn is known to do large events as well which is great for those looking for a venue as there are few places that can accommodate 200+ guests. Christine’s mother did the flowers because their florist fell down some stairs and was not able to do them. What a mom!!!!  I discovered a new caterer in the other side of the state – meet Event Caterers with Joe Yorio. They were great at sourcing local food – one my passions. They had a spread of cheeses, nuts, wines that all featured local culinary talent. In addition they roasted a pig on the property for dinner ( I was not sure about showing those photos here) and lots of organic greens for dinner. For pie cutting they used a local pastry chef known for her apple pie.  Mike Cyr from Buzz Media and I made the memory for the day. Mike is so great, the kindest and most talented videographer in Connecticut.  We left with the most gorgeous bag of hand picked apples which was their favor – such a great idea.

Branford House Photographer – Camille & Graham!

Graham and Camille have a special place in my heart. Let’s just say at our first meeting we laughed and cried a lot. Without going into the details, this couple encountered life-threatening circumstances in their courtship. Their faithfulness to one another is strong, so strong. One of the things that’s great about being a wedding photographer is the way in which couples invite you in your own marriage to be– in this case– full of faith and hope. But ultimately what was celebrated at the beautiful Branford House was gratefulness for relationships with each other and their families. At their Quaker ceremony, guests had the opportunity to express and so– with several working poets in the group– many good and wholesome words were shared. I felt blessed to be there. A desire to love unconditionally in the smallest of ways was rekindled for me. Thank you Graham and Camille for exhibiting true and enduring love.

Vendors
Coastal Gourmet provided the lovely meal with their memorable paella and stir fry station. Flowers were done by the bride’s sister-in-law. Camille did her own make up and hair was done at the Red Door Spa. A friend of the family made the cake. Many great details handled by the creatives invited!
